A systematic review by a team of researchers affiliated with the Swedish Neuroscience Institute in Seattle, Wash., have found cannabis to be an effective treatment for back pain.

This systematic review referenced the rapid recommendation by Dr. Jason Busse, Medical Director at the CPCoE, on the use of cannabis for treatment of chronic pain in the British Medical Journal.

The current article states, “In each study, there was a quantifiable advantage of cannabis therapy for alleviating back pain. There were no serious adverse effects reported.” To read the full article, please see the link below.
