Melissa brings her passion and commitment to the CPCoE with more than 15 years of senior level experience as a development and communications professional. Having led philanthropic campaigns for Canadian non-profit organizations including animal welfare, children and women’s health, and the environment and conservation, Melissa understands the challenges faced by organizations whose missions are not typically easily funded. Helping to foster a culture of philanthropy, coupled with a keen sense of the importance of taking broad concepts and creating relatable narratives, asserting the donor’s position, and strengthening the case to support projects is what gets her up (very early) in the morning. With an affinity and affection for Veterans, Melissa is delighted to help donors, major philanthropists, corporations, and foundations invest in the future health and well-being of Canada’s Veterans and their families.
An animal and nature lover, writer, cook, and gardener, Melissa has never met a dog she didn’t like.
