Paul served in the Canadian Armed Forces from 2008 until 2016 as an infantry officer. With postings between Gagetown, New Brunswick, and Ottawa, Ontario, he gained significant experience in leadership, project management, and process improvement. He deployed to Kabul, Afghanistan, as a mentor to a senior member of the Afghan National Army and as the operational planner for the local North Atlantic Treaty Organization training advisory group. Upon completion of his military service, he transitioned to work for several years in the federal public service before undertaking his Masters of Business Administration and joining the Chronic Pain Centre of Excellence for Canadian Veterans (CPCoE). As a Veteran, he connects strongly to the mission of the organization and aims to help CPCoE bring relief to veterans. Bringing a highly detail-oriented approach to work, Paul works to continually enhance the organization while remembering that humour is always needed in both life and in the workplace.
