Remembrance Day Statement

From the Chronic Pain Centre of Excellence for Canadian Veterans

On this Remembrance Day, we honour the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of all who have served in the Canadian Armed Forces and Royal Canadian Mounted Police. We remember those who gave their lives in service to our country and those who continue to live with the lasting impacts of their service.

At the Chronic Pain Centre of Excellence for Canadian Veterans, our mission is to improve the well-being of Veterans and their families living with chronic pain through leading-edge research, knowledge translation, and collaboration across Canada. Guided by our vision of a better future where every Veteran living with pain has access to effective, evidence-based care and support, we remain steadfast in our commitment to ensuring that Veterans’ voices are at the heart of all we do.

As we look to the future, we will continue to advance research that improves understanding of chronic pain, expand partnerships that strengthen care and rehabilitation, and amplify Veteran engagement to ensure that lived experience continues to shape meaningful outcomes.

Today, and every day, we remember—and we work to honour that remembrance through action, innovation, and compassion.
