Event Overview

Join us for this hybrid session, held following the CIMVHR engagement session in Halifax. This interactive session will bring together researchers, policymakers, research funding agencies, and veterans to address a critical question: how can we identify and study veterans within Canada’s complex health data landscape?

Three presentations will examine the opportunities and limitations associated with identifying veterans—particularly those living with chronic pain—in Statistics Canada health surveys, provincial administrative health databases, and primary care electronic health records. Together, these presentations will chart a path toward a stronger and more integrated capacity for research on the health of veterans.
