The Atlantic Pain Clinic will be the 12th clinic to join our network of interdisciplinary pain management centres and the first clinic in New Brunswick.

Dr. Ramesh Zacharias, the Centre’s CEO and medical director, Dr. Jason Busse, the Centre's research director, and Tom Hoppe, Chair of the Advisory Council for Veterans, were interviewed by Legion Magazine – Canada's Military History Magazine – for their January/February 2021 issue where they discussed the Centre's mission, ongoing chronic pain research, and how the Centre of Excellence works with a national network of interdisciplinary pain clinics across the country so Veterans can get evidence-based care closer to home.

Franck was truly a remarkable human being with an infectious smile and warm personality despite suffering catastrophic injuries while serving in Afghanistan. He will be missed.

Research can be a slow yet steady process, often taking years to finalize into a publication at which point the research becomes publicly available. Then, it can take much longer, even decades, for research to be widely applied into clinical practice where patients can finally see its benefits.
