The Chronic Pain Centre of Excellence for Canadian Veterans (CPCoE) values its relationship with Lieutenant-General (retired) J.O. Michel Maisonneuve, who has worked with us to advance Veteran-centred chronic pain research in Canada. L Gen (retired) Maisonneuve received the 30th Anniversary Vimy Award Laureate on November 9, 2022, which is a personal award for past service in the Canadian Armed Forces that is separate from our work together. The comments made by LGen (retired) Maisonneuve in receiving the award were his own and are not reflective of the CPCoE's views. As an organization, we are honoured to partner with Veterans and their families across Canada who are suffering from chronic pain, and we are focused on our goal of building evidence-based standards and best practices that will improve their well-being.
