Keven retired as a Master Warrant Officer from the Canadian Forces in 2007, with over 32 years of service.  As a Supply Technician he served on numerous bases and first line units.

His postings included Calgary, Comox, Greenwood, Baden Germany, Petawawa, Shearwater, and Edmonton.  His family has had great opportunity to see most of Canada and Europe.

Keven served on many taskings in Canada and throughout the world, like the Montreal Olympics, two Nijmegen marches in Holland, tours in Egypt, Southwest Africa/Namibia, Syria, and three tours of Bosnia Herzegovina.

One of his finest accomplishments was receiving the Order of Military Merit from Governor General, Adrienne Clarkson, in 2002.

After his military service, Keven went to work part-time at Home Depot, then was fortunate to get back on the Garrison, in Edmonton, as Military Sports Coordinator. While in this job, he was active in the CISM sports program as Assistant Manager of their soccer team.

Keven is presently fully retired with his wife of 44 years and has three children and three grandchildren. They spend their winter months in warmer climate south of the border.

Mr. Phinney looks forward to contributing to this great initiative at the CPCoE. He enjoys being part of an awesome team of Veterans and civilians alike in the Advisory Council.
