Board Director
“I am honoured to be a Director on the newly-formed CPCOE Board. This initiative is an important step in providing all Veterans access to the best treatments in chronic pain management. As a former Canadian Forces Health Services Officer and a pharmacist in long-term care, I am well aware of the role that pain can have on a person's mental well-being and quality of life.”

Heather is a retired Canadian Forces Health Services Officer with over 35 years of leadership and health care administration experience both within and outside of the Canadian Forces. She was a clinical pharmacist since 1979, most recently working for Island Health, (Vancouver Island), in acute care and LTC sectors. Along with being on the Board for the Centre of Excellence, Heather has experience in the not-for-profit sector, including her current role as the BCS Board Chair. She has extensive experience in quality improvement, including 10 years as an Accreditation Canada surveyor. Heather has a proven ability to establish strategic organization plans and objectives, especially with governmental bodies, using her experience working with federal government organizations such as VAC and PWGSC.
