John Brown is a retired professional with a distinguished 25-year career as a Police Officer, including 20 years of dedicated service in the Military Police. He began his military service at the age of 17, deploying to the former Yugoslavia and Germany, where he gained invaluable international experience. As a veteran living with disabilities and chronic pain, he has overcome significant challenges while maintaining an unwavering commitment to public safety and leadership. Now retired, John continues to give back by participating as a patient advisor in multiple study groups and research studies. He also dedicates significant time to volunteering for veterans’ organizations and the Chronic Pain Centre of Excellence for Canadian Veterans. John is also a proud father of four children, balancing his retirement with a strong family focus.
