I am Dr. David Fermor. I am a semi-retired anesthesiologist with the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at Foothills Medical Centre, Calgary, Alberta. Previously, I practiced as a family physician/anesthetist in various rural communities in western and northern Canada. Prior to my career in medicine I spent nine years in the Canadian Armed Forces graduating from CMR in 1979 and subsequently serving four years as an officer in the Security Branch. I was released in 1983. I feel privileged to serve on the board of CPCoE and hope that my experience as a former serving member of the CAF and ongoing involvement in anesthesia and pain medicine will allow me to contribute to the betterment of those suffering chronic pain, particularly our veteran community.
